Location: Hammock Island Marina
Date: June 7, 2021
Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Limit: 20 people (AWC members only, please)
We can finally paint out doors! On Monday, June 7th, from 10 am - 2 pm, join us on an island suited for Plein Air painting! Hammock Island Marina is close to Annapolis on Bodkin Creek in Pasadena. It is owned by one of our members, Carol Durr, and her husband, Bill. Richard Schatz has arranged for this outing, and has invited Tom Bucci to be our guest plein air demo artist. Tom will show us how he sets up his painting, and explain how to select a subject while giving us a painting demonstration.
Registration will be limited to 20 people. You can drive to this island, and we suggest car pooling with other attendees because parking is limited. You will park directly across from the island, and take a short walk across an access boardwalk. Visitors can also access the island by sail boat! Directions and location will be provided to registrants. Or, you can use your GPS: 8083 Ventnor Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122
Read Carol and Bill’s story, and read more about the island: http://www.hammockisland.com/
It will be important that we all wear masks and adhere to appropriate social considerations.
Please bring your own lunch and drink. Whatever is brought in must not be left at the marina. "What you bring in, you must take with you"
Lawn table and chairs will be available, but artists may want to bring their own folding chair.
Access to bathrooms will be provided at the house.
Rain date: June 9 in case of severe bad weather
Come and enjoy!
