  • Seelos Hall Community Center at St. John Neumann Church, Annapolis

In-Person Daytime Meeting

WHEN:  Wednesday, October 9, 2024  from 1:00 - 4:00PM

WHERE:  Seelos Hall Community Center at  St. John Neumann Church, 620 N Bestgate Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401

ART SALON:  Please bring your current art work, sketches and paintings to share with others. They will be displayed and there will be paper and pens for people to write their reactions to your work, which you can take home.

WHAT TO BRING:   A watercolor brush, a small watercolor pad or watercolor sketchbook, and a gently used watercolor book for the book swap.

The agenda for the October 9th meeting is as follows:

1. A Watercolor Book Swap: A table will be set up for people to bring a watercolor book and leave a watercolor book. A chance to get an old watercolor book off the shelf and allow someone else to try it, while finding something new without having to pay for a new book.

2. Goody-bags : will be handed out to the first 45 members through the door. The goody-bags contain items that will assist each artist in celebrating our "Golden Anniversary."

3. Presentation: The afternoon will start with presentations by our Vice President (me) on ways to add gold to watercolor paintings and a watercolor gift guide.

4. Art Supply Tryouts: Following the introduction of items from the presentations, everyone will be invited to try multiple watercolor and art items stocked at each of the tables. This will be a chance for artists to try the newest, latest, and oldest watercolor/art methods.

5. We have one more "trick" up our sleeves, but it's a surprise. You'll have to be there to find out.
