Description
Experience the profound movement of the landscape in this immersive paint-along workshop with Dale L. Popovich. Together, you'll use transparent watercolor to capture the tranquil waterways, cascading waterfalls, and enduring landscapes of northern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Dale's teaching is rooted in a deep reverence for the land and a commitment to uncovering its truths.

He'll guide you step by step to perceive the harmony of light and shadow and the quiet power found in simple forms. With each brushstroke, you'll learn refined techniques to portray the beauty of water authentically.

Before the workshop, Dale will provide a specially crafted PDF workbook containing waterscape reference materials. The paint-along method allows you to observe and recreate techniques in real time, offering a powerful way to internalize the artistic process.

Whether you're an experienced artist or have painted briefly, this workshop is a chance to immerse yourself in the power of water, sharpen your artistic vision, and grow your craft. Join us, brush in hand, and let the landscapes reveal their secrets. The journey awaits!

Objectives:  For each student to
  • Complete their paintings and leave them at a new level of confidence.
  • Gain a good understanding and transparent watercolor.
You will receive a 23-page reference workbook specially designed to support your experience during the upcoming workshop. It includes a photo of the subject, Dale's drawing, and the colors you will be using.

Before the workshop, Dale asks you to have your drawing on your watercolor paper and ready to go to learn a new way of interpreting landscapes.
