About the Artist:
Linda Luke is an internationally recognized fine arts professional. Raised in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, her realistic watercolors and oils reflect the Brandywine tradition of her youth. Her first solo exhibit debuted at the Widener Museum of Art in Chester, Pennsylvania, shortly after her 21st birthday. While landscapes remain her primary subject, her work also encompasses people, animals, florals, and still life.
Throughout her distinguished career, Linda has been commissioned by prominent clients such as Northrop Grumman, the Hershey Trust, Hilton, Franklin Mint, and Sterling Vineyards. Her largest project to date is a 98-foot by 7-foot oil mural on the rotunda ceiling of the Association of Baptists Worldwide Evangelism headquarters in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. This remarkable piece took five years to complete and depicts 32 countries.
Linda is the current president of the Annapolis Watercolor Club and a past president of the Baltimore Watercolor Society and the Dunwoody Art Association. She hosts two destination workshops annually and teaches both in person and via Zoom. She currently resides in Annapolis, Maryland, with her husband and her dog, Josie.
As Linda often says, "I'm happy when I paint... I hope that shows!"
